ADU builders carry a real industry with none of the shared infrastructure other trades take for granted.

There has been no unified national voice for ADU builders. No shared standards. No credibility framework a builder can put in front of a client. Laws and codes change without industry input, and builders solve the same problems alone, by trial and error.

The National ADU Builders Coalition changes that. We are a professional trade association built by ADU builders, for ADU builders, modeled on NAHB-level professionalism and focused only on ADUs. We formed informally in 2024 through weekly owner calls, met every month since, and made it official in 2026.

Five commitments that hold the industry to a higher standard.

01

Standards

Quality benchmarks that protect the reputation of every ADU builder.

02

Advocacy

A seat at the table on codes and policy at the state and federal level.

03

Shared Knowledge

Peer learning so no builder solves the same problem twice.

04

Credibility

Professional legitimacy members can put in front of clients.

05

Co-Creation

Built with members, not handed down from the top.

Real infrastructure for the industry, not a networking group.

Concrete work that makes membership worth it.

Monthly Meetings

Structured peer-learning sessions with rotating facilitation and shared ownership.

Member Directory

Expertise matching for fast peer consultation: who's good at what, and how to reach them.

Shared Resources

Templates, renderings, lookbooks, and operating best practices that actually work.

Buying Leverage

Vendor and supplier negotiation as a group, not one builder at a time.

Annual Conference

A national gathering for the ADU industry.Planned for Year 2
